The Preamble to the US Constitution begins: We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

We at CommCore believe that it’s time to form that more perfect Union. We deplore the killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and others in the African-American community. We stand in solidarity with those who are raising their voices and protesting their deaths and the violations of human rights of countless others.

We see the pain across this country, and particularly in the eyes of our African-American colleagues, their family members and friends. We are proud of our employees who are marching, protesting and standing up to racial injustice. Equality, justice and fairness for people across racial, ethnic, gender and sexual diversity are core to our values.

CommCore supports actions that will help our communities change and improve.  We commit to this change by:

  • Promoting policies and actions that advance social justice and equality.
  • Engaging in important, lasting initiatives to implement meaningful societal change.
  • Identifying steps to further develop a culture that prioritizes equality and diversity at our company, with our clients and in the broader society.
  • Initiating open conversations with our family, friends and colleagues about racial differences and how we can better educate ourselves.

We must learn from each other. Changes and solutions will not be easy or fast. We will make mistakes in our efforts to do better.

Martin Luther King, Jr said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”

CommCore is a piece of that garment. We want the more perfect Union. We will listen, we will learn, and we will act.
