CommCore welcomes Katerin Rodriguez as our Summer Intern. Katerin is a Senior at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, and is currently majoring in Mass Communications with a track in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing.

What are three words you would use to best describe yourself?

Creative, hardworking, and organized

Why did you choose to intern at CommCore?

When searching for an opportunity to intern in a Public Relations firm, my main focus was to find a workplace where I can expand and learn new skills, and once I became aware of CommCore Consulting Group I knew right away that this is where I would grow as an individual and as a professional in my career field by gaining important hands-on experience. From the vast clientele, the years of experience, and highly qualified employees, no hesitations came to mind when choosing to intern at CommCore.

What are you most passionate about?

I am passionate about many things, though learning is one that sticks out the most. I love to learn new things – having a breadth of knowledge can open many doors and broaden one’s horizons. It’s not always about knowing the specifics or details but knowing where to find the right answers is an important skill. Learning continuously gives me the ability to grow my knowledge and develop a deeper understanding for anything, including my career.

What is your favorite social media outlet?

Though it all depends on what I am looking for, I enjoy scrolling down my Instagram feed as well as creating and posting content for my family and friends to see. Being a heavily used platform to keep up with upcoming and current trends, Instagram can also be informal depending on the pages you follow. I also enjoy Facebook and Snapchat, both are best for keeping up with family and friends, but when it comes to entertainment I tend to lean more towards YouTube and TikTok.

What do you hope to get involved with at CommCore?

My interest lies in improving my communication, research, and writing skills, as well as building and solidifying professional relationships. While at CommCore, I hope to conduct lots of research and participate in many company activities as possible. Additionally, I hope to help CommCore improve their online presence.
