New Team Member Highlight Series Q&A – Elli Imel – Washington DC

With many new faces around CommCore, we want to introduce the new team in our New Team Member Highlight Q&A series.

First up is Elli! Elli is CommCore’s new Program Manager/Account Coordinator. In the past she has worked as a Project Coordinator, Travel Coordinator, and Associate Producer.

Three words I would use to describe myself:

Positive, Compassionate, and Persistent

What did you do before coming to CommCore?

Before coming to CommCore, I worked in video production and live events traveling domestically and abroad. I also worked as a project coordinator for a creative consulting company and as a freelance photographer and wedding photography assistant. Although my background is heavily in the creative sphere, I thrive in project management and utilizing my organizational talents.

Why work at CommCore?

CommCore’s media and presentation trainings provide valuable communications education that not only strengthens individuals’ ability to develop better messaging but increase their confidence in their skills and themselves. I wanted to join a collaborative team that took their expertise to train and educate others in becoming better communicators.

What do you like to do when you are not working?

When I’m not working, you can find me walking my two dogs, going for runs with my husband, or watching the latest indie films on my couch.

What do you hope to get involved with at CommCore?

With my background experience in video production, live events, and marketing, I hope to work on Pressure Tests with CommCore’s clients. My professional experience would allow me to utilize my production skills to help create thorough and polished simulations. Providing an immersive crisis simulation experience is important to practicing internal and external communications and can hugely benefit client’s crisis preparedness.
